Stevia loves a good haircut. When your plant hits 6-8 inches tall, snip off the top 1-2 inches with clean scissors. This forces to grow sideways instead of just upward. Do this every 3-4 weeks during growing season.
Pro hack: Save those cuttings! They can root in water for new plants Tip 2: Light = Life (But Not Too Much!)
Stevia wants 6 hours of sunlight daily, but harsh afternoon rays stress it. Try morning sun + afternoon shade. No sunny spot? A grow light works too—just keep it 12 inches above the plant.
Hungry plants stay skinny. compost or worm castings into the soil every month. For potted stevia, use a balanced liquid fertilizer (1010-10) every 2 weeks.
Warning: Over-fertilizing = bitter leaves! Less is more.
Stevia hates wet feet! Water only when the top inch of soil is dry. Soak completely. Add mulch to keep roots in hot weather.
Aphids and whiteflies love stevia toorude!). Spray leaves with neem oil solution weekly to keep pests away. Remove yellow leaves ASAP to prevent disease spread.
