Description
Green maple, Aceaceae, Acer genus, is produced in China, Japan and Korea; China is distributed in the provinces of the Yangtze River valley, as well as Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. It is mostly found in mountains, hilly forest margins or sparse forests below 1200m above sea level. Green maple is a commonly used tree in landscaping, and it is also one of the rootstocks for grafting red maple, which is of high value.
