Description

Alfalfa (mùxu) is the general name of Medicago plants, commonly known as golden cauliflower, which is a perennial flowering plant. The most famous of these is alfalfa (Medicago sativa) as a forage. There are many kinds of alfalfa, most of which are wild herbs.

There are three main types of alfalfa produced in China. It has high nutritional value and has the effects of clearing the spleen and stomach, benefiting the small and small intestines, and lower bladder stones. Alfalfa contains the most abundant vitamin K, which is high in composition and above all vegetables. Others such as vitamin C and B are also quite abundant. Mostly livestock feed. It was introduced from the Western Regions in the Western Han Dynasty.

Paspalum is an excellent pasture in grazing land, and cattle and sheep like to eat it. According to China's Jiangxi Feed Research Institute, the dry matter contains 13.83% crude protein, 17% crude fat, 33.99% crude fiber, 42.10% nitrogen-free extract and 8.91% crude ash from booting to heading stage.
