Description
Erect Astragalus (scientific name: Astragalus adsurgens Pall.), a perennial herb, 20-100 cm high. The roots are thicker, dark brown, and sometimes have long taproots. The stems are mostly or several clusters, erect or obliquely up, hairy or nearly glabrous. The pinnate compound leaf has 9-25 leaflets, the petiole is shorter than the leaf axis; the stipules are triangular, acuminate, the base is slightly connate or sometimes separated, and the length is 3-7 mm; the leaflets are oblong, nearly elliptical or narrow and oblong, It is 10-25 (35) mm long and 2-8 mm wide. The base is round or nearly round, sometimes slightly pointed, with sparsely covered hairs on the top and denser underneath. The raceme is long cylindrical, spike-like, sparsely capitate, with many flowers, densely arranged, and sometimes sparse. Mainly distributed in Northeast, North and Northwest China.
