Description
Menorah tree (Latin scientific name: Bothrocaryum controversum), alias Ramu, daughter wood, hexagonal tree. It is a deciduous tree belonging to the Cornus family and the sconce tree, 6-15 meters high, sparsely up to 20 meters; the bark is smooth, dark gray or yellowish gray; the branches are open, cylindrical, glabrous or sparsely pubescent, and the branches are purple and red in the year. Green, biennial branches are pale green, with half-moon-shaped leaf marks and round lenticels. Likes warm climate and semi-shade environment, strong adaptability, cold resistance, heat resistance and fast growth. It should grow on fertile, moist, loose, and well-drained soil. Due to the graceful natural growth of the tree, plastic pruning is generally not required. There are few pests and diseases, and the management is simple and extensive. Distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Shaanxi, Gansu, Shandong, Anhui, Taiwan, Henan, Guangdong, Guangxi and provinces south of the Yangtze River
