Description
Bromus inermis Leyss (scientific name: Bromus inermis Leyss.) is a grass family, a perennial herb of the genus Bromus, with erect stalks, sparsely clumped, up to 120 cm tall, closed leaf sheaths, flat leaves, tapering apex, rough sides and edges, Panicles, denser, open after flowering; slightly rough, spikelets with flowers, small cobs bristles; glume-lanceolate, lemma oblong-lanceolate, palea membranous, shorter than its lemma, ridge Ciliated; caryopsis oblong, brown, flowering and fruiting from July to September.
Widely distributed in temperate regions of Eurasia. Distributed in China's Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other provinces. It grows on forest edge meadows, hillsides, valleys, and riverside roadsides.
This species is an excellent forage grass with high nutritional value, good palatability, early cold resistance, and grazing resistance. It is also the main grass species for establishing artificial pastures and environmentally friendly sand fixation.
