Description
Ceiba speciosa St.Hih. (Latin scientific name: Ceiba speciosa St.Hih.) is a deciduous tree belonging to the Ceiba family and the genus Gibei [1]. It is 12-18 meters high, the crown is umbrella-shaped, the leaves are verdant, the lower part of the trunk is swollen, it is bottle-shaped, the bark is green, and the bark is densely formed with cone-shaped prickles. The leaves are alternate, palm-shaped compound leaves with 3-7 leaflets; the leaflets are oval, 7-14 cm long. The flower is solitary, the corolla is pale pink, and the center is white; the petals are 5, recurved, and the filaments merge to form a stamen tube, which surrounds the style. The flowering period is from October to December each year, and the winter is the peak flowering period.
