Description
Coronilla (Latin scientific name: Coronilla varia L.) perennial herbaceous leguminous plant, with many branches, creeping growth, creeping stems more than 1 meter long, and natural clusters of 25-50 cm high. The root system is strong and the lateral roots are well developed, with adventitious buds and nodules on the roots. The leaves are odd-pinnate compound leaves with alternate leaflets, 11-27 oblong or obovate. Because the inflorescence resembles a crown, and the flower color is changeable (that is, it changes from pink to purple in the later period), so the alias is changeable. The pods are slender and finger-like, with 3-12 nodes totaling 2-3 cm in length. The nodes are fragile, each containing 1 seed; the seeds are slender, kidney-like, dark brown.
