Dandelion is propagated by seed propagation. The seeds have no dormancy period, and the mature and harvested seeds can be sown at any time from spring to autumn. According to the needs of the field, it can also be sown in the greenhouse in winter, and the open field live broadcast adopts drill seeding. On the border surface, shallow horizontal grooves are opened at a row spacing of 25 to 30 cm, and the sowing width is about 10 cm. After the seeds are sown, they are covered with soil for 1 cm, and then slightly suppressed. . The seeding rate is 0.5 to 0.75 kg per mu. Sowing on flat borders, 1.5 to 2.0 kg of seeds per mu. The seeding amount per mu of dandelion seeds with good quality is only 25-50 grams. After sowing, cover the grass to keep warm, remove the cover grass when the seedlings emerge, and the seedlings can emerge in about 6 days.
For early emergence, scalding seeds can be used for germination treatment, that is, the seeds are placed in warm water at 50 to 55 °C, stirred until the water is cool, and then soaked for 8 hours. Take out the seeds and wrap them in a damp cloth. Cover it with a damp cloth and water it with warm water once a day in the morning and evening. The seeds can be sown in about 3 to 4 days after germination. Mature dandelion seeds have no dormancy period, and the seeds can be sown in moist soil when the temperature is above 15°C. Germination takes about 90 hours. Seeds germinate faster when the soil temperature is about 15°C, and germinate slowly when the soil temperature is above 25-30°C, so it can be sown from early spring to midsummer.
It takes 10 to 12 days from sowing to germination if the seeds are sown immediately after harvesting, and 15 days from sowing to germination if it is delayed until sowing in July to August in summer. The seeding rate is generally about 3 to 4 grams per square meter, which can protect 700 to 1000 seedlings.
