In case of rainy or humid environment, the underground part is prone to disease and rot. The optimum temperature for seed germination is 20-25℃, and high temperature of 30℃ has obvious inhibitory effect on germination. Generally, each inflorescence contains 2-4 seeds, and there are as many as 7-8 seeds; a thousand seeds weigh about 7.5g.
