Description

Elymus dahuricus (scientific name: Elymus dahuricus Turcz.) is a grass family, genus Elymus dahuricus Turcz. The culms are sparsely clumped, upright, up to 140 cm high, the leaf sheaths are smooth and glabrous; the leaves are flat, sparsely involute, rough on the top, smooth on the bottom, and the spikes are upright and tight. The cobs have small cilia on the edges, and the spikelets are green. When mature, it becomes grassy yellow with small flowers; glume-lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, lemma-lanceolate, rough awn, equal length of palea and lemma, truncated apex, cilia on the ridge, inter-ridge Sparse short hair.

Distributed in Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Tibet and other provinces. It is mostly born on hillside grass or roadside. It is also distributed in Russia, North Korea, Japan, northwestern India, and eastern Turkey. This species is resistant to drought, cold, alkali and sand. Since 1958, it has been cultivated and domesticated in pasture experimental stations and grassland experimental stations in Hebei, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai and other provinces since 1958.
