It likes high temperature, high humidity, half shade, but not cold. The most suitable temperature is 20℃-33℃. It likes sunshine and avoids dampness and waterlogging. It can be cultivated in general soil, but saline-alkali soil is not suitable for good drainage and ventilation. Breathable sandy or humus-rich soil is better, and the flowering and fruiting periods are almost all year round.
Sowing time: The suitable temperature for seed germination is 20~25°C, usually sown and propagated in March to May, and mostly used for annual cultivation. For early flowering, seedlings can be sown in the greenhouse in early spring, given a 20°C environment, and moved to the open field in warm spring.
Sowing technology: Sow seeds by spreading method, about 1000 grains/square meter. After sowing, it should be covered with thin sandy soil. Do not expose the seeds to direct sunlight. Use a fine watering can to water enough, cover with film or straw curtains to keep the soil moist, and seedlings will emerge in 7 to 10 days. After emergence, remove the film or straw curtain, and gradually strengthen the light. It grows slowly in the seedling stage and grows faster after the temperature rises. Time to seedlings. To prevent damping-off of periwinkle, 800 times of chlorothalonil or thiophanate-methyl should be sprayed once a week for 2 to 3 weeks.
