Description

Moringa (scientific name: Moringa oleifera Lam.) is a Moringa plant in the Moringa family. It is a tree with a height of 3-12 meters; the bark is soft wood; the branches have obvious lenticels and leaf marks, and the branchlets have pubescent hairs. The leaves are usually 3-pinnately compound leaves, 25-60 cm long, with linear or club-shaped slightly curved glands at the base of the pinna. The inflorescence is extensive, 10-30 cm long. The capsule is slender, with 3 ribs per petal; the seeds are nearly spherical. Flowering throughout the year, fruiting period from June to December.
It is native to India and widely planted in various tropical regions. It is cultivated in Guangdong (Guangzhou, Danxian County) and Taiwan in China, and it is often planted near villages and gardens; there are also wild ones, which produce Sanya Niuweishan large brace, which is born in mixed forests.
Moringa is planted as an ornamental tree in tropical and subtropical regions and also has certain economic value. Its seeds can purify water and produce edible oil (also has a certain value in paint and cosmetics manufacturing); Moringa oleifera leaf is China's national new resource food, and its roots are also edible
