Description
The paulownia tree is a tree species of the genus Paulownia in the Scrophulariaceae family. It is a deciduous tree. According to preliminary statistics, there are nine species and two varieties in my country. They are distributed throughout the country except for the northern northeast, Inner Mongolia, northern Xinjiang, and Tibet. They are cultivated or wild, and are being introduced in some areas. Paulownia white flower is also distributed in Vietnam and Laos, and some species have been introduced and cultivated in many countries on all continents of the world, mainly using its wood. my country has a complete population of Paulownia plants, which provides favorable conditions for the selection and breeding of improved varieties and the realization of improved varieties of Paulownia production. Paulownia bark is gray, brown or black. The bark of the young tree is smooth but the lenticels are obvious. The big tree gradually splits vertically, the leaf branches are sparse, and the crown is cone-shaped or umbrella-shaped. Most tree species are pseudo-two-branched and branched top buds withered after overwintering. The leaves are opposite, with large leaves and long stalks. The leaf area gradually decreases with the increase of tree age. The inflorescence is cyme-shaped, the flowers are stalked, the calyx is fleshy, inverted cone or campanulate, and the corolla is large, purple or white. The fruit is a capsule, ovate or elliptical, and the seeds are elliptical, small and numerous.
