Seed propagation
When the flower ears turn yellow-brown, pick off the fruit ears and dry them, shake off the seeds, remove impurities, and store them for later use.
Spring sowing in the north, from late March to mid-April; autumn sowing in late August. Multi-purpose drilling, ditching on the furrow according to the row spacing of 20-25 cm, and the depth of the ditch is 0.5-1 cm. Sow the seeds evenly into the furrow and cover with fine soil, press down a little, water, and keep the soil moist often. Seedlings emerge in about 15 days, and the amount of seed per mu is 0.5-1 kg.
Prunella likes warm and humid environments. Hardy and adaptable, but sunny and well-drained sandy loam is best. It can also be planted on dry slopes, foothills, forest-side grasslands, roadsides, and fields, but it is not suitable for low-dust and waterlogged areas.
