Description
Pyrus betulifolia Bunge (Pyrus betulifolia Bunge) belongs to the deciduous tree of Rosaceae, and its branches often have thorns. The plant is 10 meters high, the branches are spiny, and the biennial branches are purple-brown. The leaf blades are rhomboid-ovate to oblong-ovate, the upper and lower sides of the young leaves are densely covered with off-white hairs; the petiole is covered with off-white hairs; the stipules fall early. Umbellate racemes, with 10-15 flowers, pedicels covered with off-white hairs, bracts membranous, linear, petals white, stamens anthers purple, styles hairy. The fruit is nearly spherical, brown, with light spots, flowering in April, fruiting period from August to September.
