Description
Donkey herbivore (scientific name: Onobrychis viciifolia Scop.) is a perennial herb of the leguminous family and the genus Donkey herbivore, with a height of 40-80 cm. Stems erect, hollow, pubescent appressed upwards. The leaflets are oblong-lanceolate or lanceolate, 20-30 mm long and 4-10 mm wide. Racemes are axillary, obviously beyond the leaf layer; flowers are numerous, 9-11 mm long, with short pedicels about 1 mm; ovary densely appressed pilose. The pod has one node pod, the node pod is semicircular, and the upper edge has either pointed or blunt spines.
Cultivated in North China and Northwest China; mainly distributed in Europe. It is highly adaptable and prefers warm and semi-arid climate conditions. It can also grow in Gannan alpine pastures at an altitude of about 3,500 meters.
