Sneezeweed, botanical name
Helenium autumnale, is a robust hardy perennial ornamental flower with excellent germination rate. It adapts well to full sun or light partial shade and prefers fertile, slightly moist well-drained soil, tolerating damp growing conditions.
It bears clusters of bright golden-yellow daisy-like blooms with raised central cones, flowering profusely from mid-summer through early autumn, adding vivid color to late-season gardens. Despite its common name, the plant does not cause hay fever allergies.
It features strong disease and pest resistance, low maintenance requirement. Deadheading faded blossoms can extend the flowering cycle significantly. Ideal for perennial border backdrop, pond edge greening, natural wildflower meadows and large courtyard mass planting.
⚠️ Note: All parts are toxic if ingested, keep away from children and livestock.
