Pink Sweet Pea (
Lathyrus odoratus) is a classic annual climbing vine famous for strong sweet fragrance and elegant flowers, with stable germination rate. It prefers full sunlight, cool climate and loose fertile well-drained loam soil.
It produces abundant ruffled soft pink butterfly-shaped blossoms on twining stems. The charming fragrance drifts widely, making it excellent for cut flowers and garden aromatic landscaping. Vines can climb up trellises, fences, garden arches and obelisks.
Keep soil moist but never waterlogged. Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous budding. Suitable for courtyard vertical greening, arch ornamentation, cutting flower production and large deep pots for balcony climbing planting.
