Description
Pinus sylvestris (scientific name: Silphium perfoliatum L.) is a plant of the genus Pinus in the Compositae family. Perennial herb with well-developed and strong root system, many branches and roots, generally plant height is 2-3 meters, the highest can reach 3.5 meters, stems are solid, crispy and juicy when tender. The leaves are dark green in color, and the leaves are wide, generally about 60 cm long and 30 cm wide, and the longest leaf can reach 97 cm. The flower heads resemble Jerusalem artichoke inflorescences, the diameter of the disc is 2-3 cm, the seeds are heart-shaped achenes, flat, and the thousand-grain weight is 23.3 grams.
Native to North America. It grows like a warm and humid climate, and it grows rapidly when the average daily temperature is 20-28°C.
