Description

Full and plump mahogany seeds have stable germination rate and good activity. Mahogany is a famous high-grade timber tree growing in tropical areas, with tall straight trunk and neat umbrella-shaped crown. The compound leaves are glossy and smooth, showing different leaf changing effects in dry and wet seasons, with high ornamental value.

This tree likes warm and sunny environment, has good drought resistance, wind resistance and tolerance to barren soil, and can resist general urban waste gas pollution. But it cannot withstand low temperature and frost at all, once frozen, it will suffer serious damage or die. Its deep main root can firmly fix mountain soil and reduce soil collapse and water loss. Soil Preparation

Other management: More than 6 hours of full sunlight every day is conducive to the thickening of the trunk and the improvement of wood quality. Long-term shading will lead to thin seedlings and loose wood texture. Trim redundant lower branches in the dormant period to cultivate straight main trunk. Apply diluted compound fertilizer twice in spring and summer every year to promote the growth of height and thickness.
