Description
Symplocos tetragona (Latin scientific name: Symplocos tetragona Chen ex Y. F. Wu) is a tree of the family Alumniaceae. The branchlets are thick yellow-green, leathery leaves, narrowly oval, spike-like inflorescence, branched at the base, white corolla, and five-body stamens formed at the base of the filament; the flower disk has hairs and glands, and the style stigma is disc-shaped. The drupe is oblong, and the nucleus is bone. The flowering period is from March to April, and the fruit period is from August to October.
The angular alum tree is in the shape of a pagoda or umbrella. It is green throughout the seasons. The branches are naturally densely distributed. It has many flowers, white and fragrant. It can be used for garden greening, street trees, landscape trees, and plant garden greening.
