Description

Hydrangea viburnum (scientific name: Viburnum macrocephalum Fort.) is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub of Viburnum in the Honeysuckle family, up to 4 meters high; bark is gray-brown or gray-white; buds, young branches, and petioles are densely gray-white or yellow-white Tufted short hairs, gradually glabrous. The leaves are papery, ovate to ellipse or ovate-rectangular, with small teeth on the edge, intertwined in front of the lateral edge, cymes, all composed of large sterile flowers, peanuts on the third-level radiating branches; Calyx tube cylindrical, calyx teeth and calyx tube approximately the same length, corolla white, radial, lobes round and obovate, anthers nearly round; flowering in April-May.
It is cultivated in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hebei and other provinces of China.
