SEED CHARACTERISTICS

Ryegrass is a widely used cool-season grass seed with high purity and excellent germination rate. The seeds are plump, uniform in size, clean and free of impurities and broken grains. It features extremely fast germination and rapid seedling formation, thin and tender leaf blades, dense turf texture and strong trampling resistance. The variety has prominent cold resistance, keeps green in low-temperature winter and adapts well to partial shade environments. Its fibrous root system is developed, which can tightly fix topsoil and effectively prevent soil loss on slopes and river banks. Besides being used for ornamental lawns, fresh ryegrass is high-quality green forage rich in crude protein for cattle, sheep, rabbits and other livestock, and it is also commonly mixed with clover, bluegrass and other grass seeds to build stable composite lawn systems.

PLANTING METHOD

Sowing Time: Spring and autumn are the best sowing periods, suitable growth temperature 10°C–25°C.
Soil Preparation: Deeply plough the planting land, remove weeds, stones and large soil blocks, keep the soil loose, fertile and well-drained.
Sowing Method: Evenly broadcast the seeds on the soil surface, then cover with a thin layer of fine soil about 0.5cm thick, avoid too thick covering affecting emergence.
Water Management: Keep the topsoil continuously slightly moist within 2 weeks after sowing, spray water frequently in dry weather, strictly avoid long-term water accumulation leading to seed rot.
Daily Maintenance: After the turf is formed, regular trimming can maintain a flat and neat lawn surface; apply a small amount of compound fertilizer appropriately during the vigorous growth period.

FAQ

Q1: Is ryegrass suitable for trampling lawns?
A1: Yes, it has strong wear resistance and recovery ability after mowing and trampling, ideal for courtyard and park activity lawns.
Q2: Can ryegrass be used for slope greening?
A2: Absolutely. Dense fibrous roots have strong soil fixation capacity, perfect for hillside anti-erosion and road side slope protection.
Q3: How long does it take for ryegrass to germinate?
A3: Under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, seeds germinate in 5–8 days, and a complete dense lawn can be formed in about 3 weeks.
Q4: Can it be mixed with other grass seeds?
A4: Yes, it is often mixed with white clover, bluegrass and fescue to improve lawn durability and soil fertility.

SHIPPING & PACKAGING

The seeds are packed with sealed moisture-proof, breathable and mildew-proof inner packaging to prevent damp deterioration and extrusion damage during long-distance international transportation. The outer carton adopts shock-absorbing buffer packaging to ensure the complete arrival of the goods. Trackable logistics services can be provided for order delivery inquiry.

STORAGE TIPS

Store unopened seeds in a cool, dry, dark and well-ventilated place, away from high temperature, humid air and direct sunlight. After opening the package, seal the bag tightly in time to prevent the seeds from absorbing moisture and losing vitality. Standard storage can effectively prolong the shelf life and retain good germination performance for the next planting cycle.
